MEET The TEAM

FOUNDER

Tom Smith is the brains behind the festival, having conjured the idea up in 2018. Tom is head of Operations and Logistics. 

PROGRAMMER

Dan has been running music nights and one-off events since he was a teenager and has grown an enormous contact list for left-field and off-the-wall acts who will blow your mind! Curating the Ruskin's stage in 2020.

PROGRAMMER

Chlöe's experience managing Strange Weather live music events alongside John & Ted make her more than qualified to bring the party and the class to The Ivy League Club. 

PROGRAMMER

Evie is curating the line up for The Brewery and Bootleggers. A keen musician herself, Evie is excited to see some of her favourite acts play in her hometown of Kendal.

PROGRAMMER

Wayne Scurrah is a legend in the Northern folk and blues scene. Curating The Box venue, you can expect some familiar names and some great surprises too!

Ted's musical interests are both deep and broad with experience in hosting raucous off the wall music nights that live long in the memory! 

As part of Strange Weather promotions, Ted is helping to curate the Ivy League Club. 

PROJECT MANAGER

Emmie is our Project Manager making sure things run smoothly and that everyone has an awesome festival! 

PROGRAMMER

Kieran is programming for The Fleece venue in 2020. As a well-connected musician in the area, Kieran's debut line up is sure to be a belter!

PROGRAMMER

John makes up a third of Strange Weather and as a regular festival goer at some of the UK's most eclectic music events, he can vouch for some of the most interesting acts out there!  

PROGRAMMER

Ben will be co-curating the Fell line-up. As a resident gig-booker, pint-server and all round good guy at Fell, Ben knows what works best in this unique venue.

PROGRAMMER

Nick currently runs Barber Presents, hosting music gigs and events across Manchester, we are excited to see who he brings with him to Kendal this October  He will be programming the Barrell House
